UNGARO
Overview
The story of the house of Emanuel Ungaro began in 1965 when the founder moved to Paris as a young man to be an apprentice to Spanish designer Cristobal Balenciaga. Here, he developed the rigour and perfectionism needed to find his label. Emanuel dared to be different with bright, clashing colours, unexpected prints and beautiful draping. He reminded women of their power of seduction via his richly embellished designs. Today, the brand is internationally visible through its ready-to-wear, accessories and fragrance collections. The first fragrance, Diva, was launched in 1983 and continues to be followed by other successful fragrances for women and men.
